These Master Key Systems are capable of integrating padlocks and door locks. Master Lock ProSeries® padlocks can be used in this system. This system can allow the same key to operate both padlocks and door locks. If you prefer a system that only applies to padlocks, please review the Padlock Master Key section.
Master Lock provides and will maintain Key Record-keeping for Master Key Systems. A Master Key System Record is a listing of all the assigned key cuts to a lock system. Should your organization's Master Key System need expansion in the future, the key record is used as a reference to ensure that the new locks do not duplicate current key cuts safeguarding the security of the system.
Master Lock will provide a copy of the Record, at an additional charge, as requested.
The Master Lock chart references the key cut to the lock serial number. Your organization may find it useful to keep records by serial number of which employee is assigned a specific lock.
Interchangeable core and door key Master Key Systems offer the option of either visual or concealed key control. Please note on your order if you prefer either:
Visual: Key number is stamped on the face of the cylinder, VKC Concealed: Key number is stamped on the side of the cylinder, CKC
